In science, as in real life sometimes several 'factors' effect the outcome of an experiment. In order to make the problem easier to study one or more of these is 'held constant' or not allowed to change in order to see the effect of the other variables.
EX. Gas volume can be effected by both pressure and temperature. In order to understand the effect of pressure, Boyle kept the temperature constant. He then changed the pressure to see what happened to the volume of a gas. This gave him what is now called Boyle's Law: The volume of a gas varies inversely as the pressure when the temperature is held constant.
coefficient
Anywhere. Provided it is not zero, and number p can be the leading coefficient of a polynomial. And any number q can be the constant term.
The constant of proportionality or scale factor.
The constant factor that each value in an exponential decay pattern is multiplied by the next value. The decay factor is the base in an exponential decay equation. for example, in the equation A= 64(0.5^n), where A is he area of a ballot and the n is the number of cuts, the decay factor is 0.5.

The Constant Factor was created in 1980-05.
The duration of The Constant Factor is 1.53 hours.

In case of BOYLE'S law, temperature is held constant! thank you!!
pressure
non price determinants of demand are held constant
This factor is called the constant.
The question cannot be answered since "common constant factor" is not a recognised expression.
Held constant means keeping a variable or factor at a fixed level or value in an experiment or analysis to isolate the effects of other variables being studied. By holding certain factors constant, researchers can better understand the relationship between the variables of interest without interference from other factors.
