The square of a number is the result of multiplying the number by itself. For example, the square of 5 is 5 x 5 = 25. The square root of a number is the value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the original number. For instance, the square root of 25 is 5 because 5 x 5 = 25.

Well, talking math, square and square root are two different math terms.

Square: Square can mean to square a number, which means to multiply it by itself. Such as, 6 squared is written as a 6 with a little 2 in the top right corner. So, you multiply 6 of 6 to get 36. You can do that with any number in the world.

Square Root: Square Roots of numbers are very simply to comprehend. If you want to square root 36, you find the number that when multiplied by itself equals that number. So its basically the opposite of Squaring a number.

It's a new number which, when you multiply it by itself, the result is the whole number.

Sometimes the square rot is another whole number, but more often it's a fraction or
a decimal.

The square rot of ' 1 ' is ' 1 '. For any other whole number, it's always smaller than the
whole number.

Negative numbers do not have square rots.
