Parallel retreat of slope is a method of erosion by which the steep wash slope and free face of Pediments ( Gently inclined rocky floors close to mountains at their foot with or without a thin cover of debris ) retreat backwards.

So,through Parallel retreat of slopes, the pediments extend backwards at the expense of moutain front, and gradually ,the mountain gets reduced leaving only a remnant of the mountain (Inselberg).

This type of erosion reduce high relief in desert areas to low featureless plains.

What geological and climatic conditions are likely to affect slope replacement and parallel slope retreat?

Answer

What is the slope of a line parallel to a line with slope -2?

For two lines to be parallel they must have the same slope. A line parallel to a line with slope -2 would have a slope of -2.

If one line has a slope of then the slope of a line parallel to it would be?

The same. Parallel lines have the same slope.

If is parallel to and the slope of is -5 what is the slope of?

The parallel lines will have the same slope of -5 but with different y intercepts

What is the slope of a line parallel to a line whose slope is 2?

2. Parallel lines have the same slope.

What is the parallel slope of 2?

A parallel slope to 2 is 2. A perpendicular slope to 2 is (-1/2).

How do you find the slope of a parallel line?

Parallel lines have the same slope. So if you know the slope of a line in question, or you can calculate it, then you know the slope of any line parallel to that line.

What is the slope of a parallel line?

Parallel lines have the same slope. So if you have a line with slope = 2, for example, and another line is parallel to the first line, it will also have slope = 2.

If the slope of a line is 13 what is the slope of a line parallel to it?

Parallel lines have the same slope. The slope of the second line is also 13.

What is the slope of a line parallel to a line whose slope is 0?

It is also zero as parallel lines have the same slope

How does the slope between two parallel lines compare?

The slope between two parallel lines is identical. This is because parallel lines have the same slope and will never intersect. The slope of a line is a measure of its steepness, and when two lines are parallel, they will have the same steepness, resulting in the same slope. Therefore, the slope between two parallel lines will always be equal.

If is parallel to and the slope of is what is the slope of?

the answer is - 1/5
