For two point s to calculate the slope use the equation ;-

m = (y(1) - y(2)) / (x(1) - x(2))

Remember the 'y' goes on top and the first terms to the left.

Hence

m = ( 5 - 9) / ( -2 - 4) =>

m = ( - 4)/ (-6)

m = (4/6)

m = 2/3 (Positive slope).
