I actually just had this exact problem on a math assignment and it stumped me for a bit then it dawned on me 14+2y=78 or 2y+14=78 most teachers prefer the 2nd answer because the variable comes first. Hope this helps :)
to sum two numbers you add them together then to get twice that you multiply the sum by 2 e.g. if the two numbers are 5 and 8 the sum = 5 + 8 = 13 twice that is 13 x 2 = 26
14 is deficient. It is less than the sum of it's divisors. In mathematics, a deficient number or defective number is a number n for which σ(n) < 2n. Here σ(n) is the sum-of-divisors function: the sum of all positive divisors of n, including n itself Proof.. divisors of 14 are 1,2, and 7 and 14. Now, 2n=28 and and the sum the all the divisors including 14 is 24<28
2n + 27
When we add 22 and -14 it is the same as 22-14. In general adding a negative number is the same as subtracting the number. The answer is 8.
Since we know that the integers are even and consecutive, we can call them x, x+2, x+4, and x+6, with x being the smallest of the four. twice the sum of the second and third can be written as 2(x+2+x+4)=4x+12 the sum of the first and fourth increased by 14 is x+x+6+14=2x+20 Then we can solve 4x+12=2x+20-->2x=8-->x=4 4

The sum of the sum and difference gives twice the larger number 14 + 4 = 18 → the larger number is 18 ÷ 2 = 9 The difference of the sum and the difference gives twice the smaller number 14 - 4 = 10 → the smaller number is 10 ÷ 2 = 5 → The two numbers are 9 and 5.

If you mean 14=2m+2... then m=6
X+14 ≤ 3x
14+a
How do you write half a number decreased by 8 is equal to the sum of the number and 14
One number is 7, the other is 14. 7 + 14 = 21 4(7) = 2(14)
Sum of what?
It means that some number is having 14 added to it. The sum of 3 and 14, for example is 3 + 14.
