Anything that is unmeasurable in principle, is not clearly defined, or can not be unambiguously quantified, can not be measured exactly by any unit. This includes such things as "love", "hate", "energy" (in the sense of "I feel full of energy today" - the physical quantity "energy" can very well be measured), "pleasure", "peace", etc.

On the other hand, anything that can be exactly measured by a non-SI unit can be converted into the corresponding SI unit, usually by multiplying or dividing by a conversion factor. For example, if you have a length in inches, just multiply by 0.0254 to convert to meters.
