There are three ways to find a gear ratio.
1 A dealer can normally tell from the vin number.
2 There are normally tags or labels on the axle that have part number, gear ratio, and fluid requirement
info.
3 You can count how many times you have to turn the driveshaft to get one complete turn of the tires.
3.73 or 4.10
final axle ratio 3.55
Tooth count depends on the gear ratio.
There where about three options from the factory. 3.07, 3.55, and 4.10.
its either 355 or 373 there are tags on diff that give you numbers
In order to have good fuel economy and good performance, the best gear ratios for a jeep Cherokee with 33" tire size are: 3.91 4.11 4.27
I don't remember the suspension changing so it should fit. The only problem you need to worry about is if it is the same ratio you already have, if not your speedometer will be off.
To find out if a 2000-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee power steering gear box will fit on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, call your nearest DIY auto parts store
each rearend is esentially the same but the suspensions are very different. you CAN swap them out. but they will not be bolt on. you have to cut tabs and perches off of the Cherokee rear and replace them with grand Cherokee mounts and perches. you will have to grind and weld and so on. VERY big job. just find a grand Cherokee rear end with the same gear ratio and you will be fine
1993 - 1998 will all be swapable. just make sure you have the same gear ratio as the front.
They could be.They could be.
The 4 cylinder models have a gear ratio of 4.10:1
