Where did numbers start?

1 or maybe .1.... hmmm but that means .01 would also be a possible start. 0?? I got it.... numbers start as theories, which start as thoughts. thoughts do not really start anywhere, unless they are your own. In that case, your thought started in your past so it is all a matter of relevance. Truth is, you can't say where numbers started. Where is the first record of written symbols to represent a certain amount??? you could maybe answer that with some fancy carbon dating. but asking where a thought started is like asking when Rosie Odonell became a man. It is just too cloudy of a concept to pin down. Maybe Rosie was always a man, maybe Rosie is still in the manly process. Maybe Rosie cannot even be put in the man/woman category- deserving a sub category like whale creature....we just cannot say.
