it is located just behind where the exhaust pipes "y" together
I am pretty sure there are 2 of them. They are on the exhaust near the engine and on the catalytic converter. Look for a single wire.
The O2 sensor is in the front of the engine. If you look at the exhaust manifold by the heat shield you will see it. It screws into the exhaust and has a single wire coming out of it running back toward the drivers side of the engine. Easy to change
The crankshaft sensor is located on the side of the block below the exhaust manifold on the firewall side of the engine. It is held in by a single bolt. Access is quite tight but it can be replaced with the engine in the car.
Single exhaust? Look before and after the converter. O2 sensors measure oxygen content before and after flow through the converter.answerThe oxygen sensor is a spark plug shaped device that is screwed into the exhaust manifold. Answer:There is one sensor located before the cat convertor. It will be a 3 wire sensor.
V6 Dakotas come with "dual exhaust manifolds". If your asking about exhaust systems, all I've seen are singles in and out or single in with dual tips (mufflers). The pipes to the mufflers is Y-pipe to single.
The Oxygen sensor that typically on MOST vehicles is the one closest to the heat of the exhaust. Since the SL1 is a 4 cylinder engine with a single exhaust manifold, check (or replace) the FRONT oxygen sensor, which is in the exhaust manifold, just above the "headpipe". It looks a little like a sparkplug, and should be the only thing in the exhaust manifold that has a wire connected.
1995 Chevrolet Astro, 4.3 V6 engine with Single Point Injection System has one O2 sensor located in exhaust pipe (between catalitic converter and the place where exhaust pipes from right and left cylinder heads meets in one pipe).
yes
Two if you have a V6 with single exhaust. One before the cat. converters and one after. A total of 4 if you have the V8 with dual exhaust
If your car has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine the crankshaft position sensor is located on the back side of the engine behind the ignition module which is below the intake manifold toward the rear of the engine. You can follow the spark plug wires to it. If your car has the 2.8L V6 the sensor is located on the back of the engine below the exhaust manifold. It has a single wire and is held in by a single screw. It is in about the center of the engine. The knock sensor is located nearby, but is screwed into the block and has pipe threads. By back of the engine I refer to the side next to the firewall.
P0344 = Camshaft position sensor 'A' circuit intermittant (Bank 1 or single sensor)'A' circuit is intake side. 'B' circuit is exhaust side.
