If you have the front and back covers of the sketchpad, you can use tape to fix the problem (especially Duct Tape). For actual sketchPADS (as opposed to sketchBOOKS), I'm guessing you could use a clamp or something, though that would interfere with flipping the pages.
In case your sketchpad finally breaks, by the way, see if you can find a folder to hold the papers in. A cheap paper or plastic one should work fine.

You should definitely use both sides. Otherwise you'd be better off with an A4 sketchbook- defeats the purpose.
Absolutely. Any DVD ripping program, such as DVDFab, will do the trick.
it does damage by ripping houses recking valuables and loved ones
A cross cut saw has teeth that are shaped and spaced so that they are ideal for cutting across the grain of timber. Timber is strong and resistant to cutting in this direction. They are generally finer than ripping saws which are used for cutting or "ripping" in line with the grain. Ripping saws usually have bigger teeth and gaps between teeth because wood is softer in this direction, so more material can be cut with each pass and the cut material is accommodated in the gaps between the teeth.
No, they only sell you the stuff to fix it with!
