Yes, along with a few other items of importance.
There is no cable....It is electric.....The speed sensor is on the transmission...Its called the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor)...Easy to take out and install...One bolt...Unplug the connector and remove the bolt and the sensor slides out.
The sensor is located in the seat. The problem is that if you unplug the sensor the vehicle will not start.
It won't be a speedometer cable like the one you're probably thinking of. On the top of the transmission output shaft, there'll be a speed sensor. Connected to this speed sensor will be wires connected by a quick connect coupler. Unplug that, and you can remove the speed sensor with a ratchet and socket. Rather than a cable which goes directly to the speedometer, the F750 will have a speed sensor which sends a signal to the engine ECM, then the ECM sends a signal to the speedometer.
Against Federal law to do so Can't be done, unless you want to keep the truck parked the rest of your life.. The speedometer is electronically driven off an impulse sensor from the transmission to the computer.. If you unplug the harness from the transmission, the engine will not run correctly.. Emission controls are linked into engine rpm, temperature and vehicle speed. The days of fooling the vehicle are over.
in the tranny. You can get to it from under truck. look for a plug with wires. Unplug it, take out the retainer bolt, remove the sensor. Take off the gear and put on new sensor
To change the speedometer on a Mitsubishi Pajero, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Remove the dashboard panel carefully to access the speedometer cluster. Unplug the electrical connectors and remove the screws securing the speedometer. Replace it with the new unit, reassemble everything, and reconnect the battery.
On a 1989 Acura Integra hatch back the brake lights are reached through the hatch itself. The brake lights housing are on the rear of the vehicle. Unplug the bulbs and replace them.
To change the temperature sensor on a 1995 Acura Integra, first, locate the sensor on the engine, typically near the thermostat housing. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then unplug the electrical connector from the sensor. Use a socket or wrench to remove the old sensor and install the new one, ensuring it is properly seated. Reconnect the electrical connector and the battery terminal, and check for leaks before starting the engine.
How do you unplug an oxygen sensor on a 2003 Chevy Cavalier
Most likely by crankshaft pulley, unplug connector and remove sensor, replace sensor with new one (if you don't know what it looks like in engine; buy new part so you have reference). Plug in, clear codes & test drive.
It would depend on the vehicle. most likely the vehicle would run, but not well. this puts the computer in limp home mode. most car computers will allow the vehicle to run with one major sensor undone.
there is a speed sensor on the side of the trans, where the cable used to be. unplug the wires and replace the speed sensor. pretty simple to do.
