The Bank 1 sensor is located right behind the heat shield on the driver side towards the firewall.
The bank one sensor, on your Suzuki Grand Vitara XL7 4 x 4 is located on the front of the transmission. The sensor will have 3 wires coming from it.
On a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara V6, the bank 2 sensor 1 (which is the upstream oxygen sensor) is located on the exhaust manifold on the driver's side of the engine. It is positioned before the catalytic converter, typically on the rear side of the engine. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any components that obstruct the view or access to the sensor.
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Bank one is drivers side. Sensor 1 is the one closest to the engine.
On a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara, Bank 1 Sensor 1 refers to the upstream oxygen sensor located on the exhaust manifold or just before the catalytic converter on the driver's side of the engine. This sensor monitors the level of oxygen in the exhaust gases to help optimize fuel efficiency and emissions. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any necessary components for better visibility.
P/S exhaust, after the manifold but before the catalytic converter, at the back of the motor, behind the valve cover.
Bank 1 is the bank that sits closest to the front of the vehicle. Bank one is the bank with cylinder # 1. You have 4 oxygen sensors, (bank 1 sensor 1, bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor2). Follow the exhaust from the head of bank 1. The first sensor you come to is sensor 1, the second is sensor 2.
Bank 1 sensor 1 is upstream bank 1 sensor 2 is downstream
Bank 2 indicates the bank containing cylinder #2. Bank one contains cylinder #1. Passenger side cylinder #'s are 2,4,6. Driver's side's are 1,3,5. Make a diagram for yourself, it helps a lot for not forgetting. Ok. Now that you know where bank 2 is. The GV v6 has 4 O2 sensors, 2 on each pipe that comes directly out of each manifold on either side of engine. On each side, one sensor is above or 'upstream' of the little pre catalytic converter, one is below or 'downstream'. The upstream sensor is #1, the downstream sensor is #2. Therefore Bank 2 sensor 1 is the upstream or top sensor on the passenger side bank of cylinders. This concerns the O2 sensors, which I assume is what you are referring to.
Bank one sensor two refers to the oxygen sensor. The bank one sensor two oxygen sensor is on the front side of the engine, after the catalytic converter.
Is this bank 2 sensor 1 or sensor 2?
