I have a first generation Pathfinder (1991) and the needle has contacted the face of the speedometer. I drilled a small hole in the plastic and used a small wire to bend the arm from touching. jimbolyard@Yahoo.com My mechanic said that my speedometer cable ('95 Pathfinder 4wd automatic) had stretched. Since this repair was over $200, I opted for the quasi-fix: I hit the trip reset. This gets the speedometer working again about 75% of the time. It's been this way for the pass 3 years and has not gotten any worse.
If striking the dashboard encourages or clears the fault then either a bad earth or bad solder joints on the membrane sheet behind the dials.
sounds like the speed sensor. it sends a signal to both the speedometer and the transmission
I guess it depends. There are a few apps that froze mine a few times when I had one. But other than that, no, it doesn't freeze that much at all. It may lag a bit at times, but other than that, no, the S3 doesn't freeze too much.
to become a pathfinder, you have to have been a meamber for at least 14 days, you must have had logged on at least 5 times, you have to have the zap power, and you have to have the pet bunnycorn. if you have all of those things, then go to the crystal catobombs and talk to the mole. then pass the test and you will be a pathfinder.
What other symptoms besides leaking antifreeze? Where do you see the anti-freeze leaking?
There is no speedometer cable on a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker. The speedometer is electically driven by a speed sensor mounted on the transmission. often the contacts are just corroded and some electrical cleaner will fix it right up. Other times the sender will have to be replaced. They are available from major Auto Parts stores like NAPA, or from the dealer.
Theres a speedometer sensor on the side of the trani try that
If it's cable driven, you probably need to replace the cable. Otherwise, if it's digital impulse driven, it's probably the speedometer itself.
Why is Coolant overflowing from the cooling tank at times and drains down into the left rear well?
sounds like the starter solenoid, you will have to replace the starter
I had this happen before and I fixed it myself. Get in your Pathfinder and CLOSE the door. Turn the key on one click to accessory mode so that all of the other lights on the dash are on but do not start the car. Now open your door and push the the button inside your door jamb that turns your interior light on 7 times. Close your door and then turn your key off. Now start the Pathfinder...it should be off. If not, repeat this series a couple of times and it will go off. I have had theis happen twice and this is the correct way to fix the problem.
inside the door on the door is a slide move it
