How do you want to measure that: In time, gallons, or traffic lights and congestion?

It will be most likely to be more than nine hours, but it depends on three things. Fist is how fast you can travel. I guessed 65 MPH average speed. Second is how much fuel you carry in your tank. In the USA most cars can travel 300 to 400 miles on a single tank of gas. That means at least one stop to refuel. The final factor is how many miles you can travel on a gallon of fuel (or how many gallons needed for every 100 miles traveled).

Even if the entire distance is to be traveled on a high speed roadway, it will take at least one refill of you gas tank. (One possible exceptions is if you drive a hybrid that can attain or surpass the 50 miles per gallon fuel efficiency and with more than 11.2 gallon tank capacity). Stopping for fuel can add 30 or more to your total travel time. Extra rest stops (for meals and restroom breaks) will add more time.

If you have a significant distance to travel on primary or secondary roads (non-highway/non-Interstate/non-motorway) then your speed will be reduced by lower speed zones, traffic congestion, stop signs, or traffic lights.

556 miles / speed = time needed.

If you travel non-stop at 65 miles per hour it will take 8.55 hours or 8 hr 33 min. 13.8 sec.

I hope this helps you find your answer for your travel.
