Since London, England is on an island you cannot drive from one to the other. However, you can drive your car onto the train that travels through the Chunnel under the English Channel to reach France. Train takes about 90 minutes.
London to Paris takes about 2 hours 30 minutes. For other destinations in France you would have to change trains - probably in Paris and from a different station.
about an hour
The distance between London (UK) and Perpignan (France) is:- 624.73 miles or if you prefer (as most of this is travelled through France) 1005.37 Kilometres. You could say that it is a long drive and you would not be telling fibs.
a long way away. i think the same distance from london to France
You could, but that would involve taking the bus on a ferry across the English Channel and through two countries (France and Spain). The easiest way to get to Spain from London is to fly from Heathrow, Gatwick or Luton Airport (the flight should be about 2 hours long depending on where is Spain you are flying to).
14-15 hours (+ the ferry ride between Dover (England) and Calais (France))
Well, if you want to literally "swim" all the way from London to Paris, you're going to have to swim downstream the Thames river, then cross the English Channel, and then swim upstream the Seine river until you reach Paris... Mmmh that may take a while! But if you want to simply cross the Channel between England and France at its narrowest point, the world record is about 7h54 I think, but the average time is about twice as much or 13h.
It isn't 90 minutes as there isn't a ferry directly from London to France, so the first ferry would be from Portsmouth or Southampton etc, but the shortest ferry would be about 180minutes - 3 hours - but on the other hand the longest would be the over night ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg being over night and about 12 hours long. But that isn't too bad as the accommodation is very good and staff are easy to get along with. But the travelling time really depends on where you are travelling from and to for your stay/time in France. :)
It depends on how fast you are going. If you were running a billion MPH, it would take a few seconds.
It depends on where in the US you are going to.
It depends how fast you are going! =)
There is no direct train from London to Calais. The London to Paris train doesn't stop at Calais. The alternative would be to take a train from London to Dover and the ferry from Dover to Calais.
