I just learned how to change any repeating decimal to a fraction.

It's really neat, cool, ducky, George, bee's knees, etc.

-- Take one complete set of the repeating digits in the decimal.

-- Write them as a fraction, over the same number of nines.

-- Simplify if necessary.

Examples:

If the decimal is 0.285714285714... , take 285,714/999,999 = 2/7 simplified

If the decimal is 0.8888... , take 8/9 (doesn't need to be simplified).
