ok well lets say rounding 193 to nearest ten u circle the ten place underline the next number 1 to 5 stays the same 5 to 9 climb the vine or more than nine its like righty tighty lefty loosey

To round you consider the last digit of the number. It is is below 5 you round down to the next tens. If it is 5 or above you round to the next tens up. For instance, if you wanted to round 66 to the nearest tens, it would round to 70.

When rounding to a specific place, take a look at the digit immediately to the right of the target, in this case, the tens place. If that digit is 4 or less, zero everything to the right of the target out. If that digit is 5 through 9, increase the target by one and zero everything to the right of it out. If the target is a 9, increasing it will turn it to zero and increase the digit to the left of the target by one.
