I always think of it in terms of money. If you have a dollar, 15 cents is 15%.
To find 15% the easiest way to do it is to find 10% and then add another 1/2 to it.
For example:
$42.50 10% is $4.25 (just move the decimal) then you add 1/2 of $4.25 or $2.12 to the original $4.25 to get 15%.
If you are finding 20% simply double the 10%. Super easy for finding tips :-)

To find 15% of any number, multiply the number by 0.15
15% of 460:= 15% x 460= 0.15 x 460= 69
To get 30 percent of something, multiply that something to 0.30 which is the decimal equivalent of 30%. Example: 30% of 49 = 0.30 * 49 = 14.7
39.47%% rate:= 15/38 * 100%= 0.3947 * 100%= 39.47%
Divide it by 20 or multiply it by 0.05
Divide the something by 100.
100*15/25 = 60%
Multiply 48x.15= 7.2
15 X .33 = $4.95
15 percent can also be written as 15 over 100 (or 15/100). To work out a percentage of something, you can do 2 things. firstly, you can say 15/100 x 128 or, you can say 15 x 100, and then divide it by 128. So 15 x 100 = 1500 1500 divided by 128 = 11.71875 pounds
15% of 21.50
.15 * 6327 = 949.05 Note: "X percent of" means "(X/100) times"
Multiply it by 0.01
To find 15% of any number, multiply the number by 0.15
15/100 * 80 = 12
To calculate 15 percent of a certain amount in money, you would multiply the amount by 0.15. For example, if you want to find 15 percent of $100, you would multiply 100 by 0.15, which equals $15. So, 15 percent of $100 is $15.
15 percent of 12.95 would be 1.9425 or just 1.94 if you round it if you are buying something, your new price would be 11.01
