Numbers having exactly three factors are the squares of prime numbers. Examples of these numbers greater than 100 are 121, 169, 289, 361, 529, 841, etc.
There are no common factors of 77 because there cannot be common factors without two or more numbers to compare. Common factors are factors that the numbers being compared have in common. Examples: The common factors of 14 and 77 are 1 and 7. The common factors of 66 and 77 are 1 and 11. The common factors of 77 and 154 are 1, 7, 11, and 77.
If you multiply two different prime numbers together, you will have a number with four factors, because it will have those two numbers as factors, as well as 1 and itself. Examples: 3 x 5 = 15 which has the factors 1, 3, 5, and 15. 2 x 11 = 22 which has the factors 1, 2, 11, and 22. 5 x 19 = 95 which has the factors 1, 5, 19, and 95.
