Knowing multiplication tables helps. The following method will work:
Start with dividing by numbers, then take these quotients and divide again until you have it down to prime factors.
96 is even, and it's divisible by 3 (sum of digits multiple of 3: 9+6=15 --> 1+5=6)
So divide by 2: 96/2 = 48 ; 48/2 = 24 ; 24/2 = 12 ; 12/2 = 6 ; 6/2 = 3. 3 is prime, so:
96 = 1 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3, [1 is always a factor] or any combination of these.
Example: 32 * 3, or 16 * 6, or 8 * 12, etc. Note that 8 * 12 is in the multiplication table, so having multiplication table memorized (up to 12 times 12), you can just recognize the 8 * 12, then work out those factors. btw dont you just hate math lol good luck hope i helped you out!
