A Prime number has only two factors which are itself and one such as 2 and 19

A composite number has more than two factors

Composite numbers have prime factors as for example 38 as a product of its prime factors is 2*19 = 38

Well, it means that it only has two numbers in its factor. Like four. First a factor is what can you times to get that number. So four would be, 2 x 2, 4 x 1. Only two factors. Itself times one and a different factor besides that. There you go! Have fun!

All nonzero whole numbers have factors. Some are composite, some are prime. Prime factors can only be divided by themselves and 1.
