Well 20 goes into 100, 5 times.... so if you multiply the number out of 20(in this case, 15) by 5 you get you percentage.
Or you could just multiply 15/20(fraction) by 5.
15/20x5= 75% 20x5=100... so 15x5= 75% :)
its really simple.
Alternatively just do 15/20 and times by 100. Essentially that is what has happened above but that method is unnecessarily complicated for larger numbers if you don't know their factors/multiples.
% rate = 20% = 15/175 * 100% = 0.2 * 100% = 20%
3 is what percent of 15= 3 / 15= 0.2Converting decimal to a percentage: 0.2 * 100 = 20%
% rate= 3/20 * 100%= 0.15 * 100%= 15%
To calculate a percentage of an odd number, you simply multiply the odd number by the percentage you want to find. For example, if you want to find 20% of the odd number 15, you would multiply 15 by 0.20 (which is 20% as a decimal) to get 3. Therefore, 20% of 15 is 3. Remember to convert the percentage to a decimal before multiplying.
percentage of 15 = 1500%15 * 100% = 1500%
3/15 as a percentage is 20%
15/20 * 100 = 75% =====
percentage = 15% % rate: = 3/20 * 100% = 0.15 * 100% = 15%
Increase = 15 dollars. 15 dollars, as a percentage of 20 dollars = 15/20 * 100 = 75%
It is: 15/20 times 100 = 75%
percentage = 75%% rate:= 15/20 * 100%= 0.75 * 100%= 75%
