A decimal number is simply a way of representing a number in such a way that the place value of each digit is ten times that of the digit to its right. A decimal representation does not require a decimal point. So the decimal for 500 ml is 500 ml! If you want it as a decimal fractionof some other quantity then you need to specify that second quantity.

500 ml is equivalent to 0.5 liters when expressed as a decimal. This conversion is based on the fact that 1 liter is equal to 1000 milliliters. Therefore, to convert 500 ml to liters, you divide 500 by 1000, which equals 0.5.
