24 * 32 * 7 = 504.

No, not so.

24 * 32 * 7 = 1008.

The correct answer (the one just deleted !) is

2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 7 = 504.

To find the prime factors of 504, we start by dividing it by the smallest Prime number, which is 2. 504 ÷ 2 = 252. Continuing this process, we find that 252 ÷ 2 = 126, 126 ÷ 2 = 63, 63 ÷ 3 = 21, 21 ÷ 3 = 7. Therefore, the prime factors of 504 are 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 7, or written as 2^3 x 3^2 x 7.

that doesn't write 504 as the product of the prime factors, the other factor according to your logic is 18.666 but this not a prime number. a prime number is a number that can be divided by itself or 1 and equal a whole number. 504/27=18.666 etc.
