An integer is either:

  1. a natural number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...);
  2. the number zero (0), or;
  3. an inverse (negative) of a natural number (-1, -2, -3, -4, -5, ...).

This makes the full set of integers {..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, ...}.

In other words an integer is what is more commonly known as a whole number. It may be positive, negative, or the number zero, but it must be whole without a fraction or decimal part, such as: 0, 1, 2, 10, a million, -5, etc.

Any number which does not meet the criteria for being an integer is not an integer.

but 1/2, 0.96,5/100 are not integers as they are not whole numbers

also if u had a mixed number like 5 1/4 then that wouldn't be a integer either

a integer is also a negative WHOLE NUMBER but not these:-23.56 -34.4 or -22.2.
Integers are positive,0 and negative numbers.

I don't know what an intger is. If you mean integer, then it is any positive whole real number.
An intiger is a whole number.
