1/10th of a second is called a "decisecond" : : : Not to be confused with 10 seconds which is called a "decasecond" . . . However in common parlance, simply saying "Tenth of a Second" is considered quite acceptable for nearly all applications.

Example: "She ran the 40 meter dash in 4 and 3 tenths of second" is far more common than "She ran a 4 and 3 decisecond 40 meter dash" almost no one uses the term decisecond, (spell check doesn't even recognize it!) "tenth of a second" is favored in almost all applications of use.

But decisecond is technically the correct SI term for 1/10th of a second.
