∙ 6y agoWe know that a real number is rational if and only if, when expressed as a decimal, it has a finite or recurring expansion.
. . (put a point exactly over 8 and 2).
For example, 5/4 = 1.25, 2/3 = 0.6, 20/7 = 2.857142857 or 20/7 = 2.857142

∙ 7y agoIf the decimal representation terminates or is repeating then it is a rational number.
It is still a rational number.
0.7 IS is a rational number. It is in the form of a terminating decimal.
12.52 is rational, as is any number that you can write out completely in decimal form.
I think it's a repeating decimal.
a negative decimal number, a rational number, a nice number
Rational Numbers are any number that can be written in fraction form .This includes integers, terminating decimals, and repeating decimals as well as fractions. A decimal number can be written in rational numbers depending on the place value of the decimal point.
It is still a rational number.
An irrational number cannot be written as a fraction or to an exact decimal such as the symbol for pi or the square root of two. A rational number can be written in the form of a fraction or a decimal to an exact value.
Repeating decimal
It is a rational number, in decimal form. In the form of a ratio, it is 11/100.
It is a negative rational number in decimal form. It is also a real number.
Any terminating or repeating decimal number can be converted easily into the form of p/q: a ratio of two integers. If it can be written in that form then it is rational.
A rational number is any number that can be written in the form of one integer over another integer; all rational numbers have a decimal form that either terminates or repeats one, or more, digits forever. 4.680 is a terminating decimal, therefore it is a rational number. 4.680 = 4680/1000 = 468/100 = 117/25 -------------------------- The decimal form of a rational number will repeat forever if the prime factorization of the denominator contains any prime other than 2 or 5.
In non-decimal form, it is either a whole number of written as a fraction (a ratio) of two whole numbers. In decimal form, it is either terminating or (after a finite number of digits) recurring.
Yes, for example 3/2 can be written as 1.5. All rational numbers have either a decimal expression of finite length or a repetitive pattern, unlike an irrational number, which goes on for ever when written in decimal form, never repeating.
0.7 IS is a rational number. It is in the form of a terminating decimal.
Any number that can be written in fraction form is a rational number. This includes integers , terminating decimals , and repeating decimals as well as fractions. An integer can be written as a fraction simply by giving it a denominator of one so any integer in a rational number.
