Rounding for example 1,045 to the nearest hundred would be 1,000, Because when rounding by the Hundred digit if that digit is less than 4 you would round down! Which would make 1,045 round to 1,000. If that hundred digit was 5 you would round up. Rounding down the thousand digit would stay the same rounding up the thousand digit would go up.
