1. sounds like a support rod or spring has come loose, on the mower deck, 2. check tire pressure 3. Consult your owner's manual, specifically the section about mower deck adjustment. If your mowing deck is equipped with anti-scalp rollers, there should be a number of places where you can adjust the roller height to help avoid scalping (cutting too low) even if the tires are low on air, etc. Note you should still make sure your tire pressure is correct (again, per the owner's manual) because you don't want to have the anti-scalp rollers touching the ground all the time. They are not designed to support the full weight of the mower deck all the time, just for incidental dips.

Park over a firm level surface (like a driveway or garage pad), raise the deck, turn off the tractor (and put key in pocket so no one else turns it on without you knowing) and measure the distance between the blade tips and the ground. The blade tip height on the left should match the height on the right. The blade tip height at the front should be about 1/4 inch lower than the height at the rear.

The height of the front tip to the ground, minus the height of the anti-scalp rollers to the ground (let's say that comes out to 1 inch) will determine the lowest height the grass will be cut to if the tractor bounces around while riding or tips slightly while cornering. I set this difference to 2 inches on my Cub i1050, and usually have the overall mower deck height set so the blades are about 2.5 inches from the ground.
