Other than a calculator: The easiest way is to start by multiplying 26 by 10...you just add a 0 to 26 to get 260. Then, since you want to multiply 26 by 14, but you've already multiplied 26 by 10, you need to now multiply 26 by 4 (fourteen minus ten is 4). Which is..104. Add this number to the number you got by multiplying 26 by 10, and you get a total of 364. After doing this several times, you get the hang of it...I did that all in my head, for instance.
Start with the equation z = 1, then do any valid manipulation on the left side, and the same manipulation on the right side. The manipulations that won't change the solution set are: adding the same constant to both side; multiplying both sides by the same non-zero constant. Squaring and taking roots will sometimes add additional solutions, or eliminate solutions. For example, and this is just an example of what you can do: z = 1 Multiply both sides by 2: 2z = 2 Add 5 to both sides: 2z + 5 = 7 Add 1 to each side: 2z + 6 = 8 Multiply both sides by 2: 4z + 12 = 16 Add z to both sides: 5z + 12 = z + 16
To me it would mean she wants to have sex. But you can start by smiling and kissing her. Dont through her on the floor and start wrippin off her clothe!
x2 - 5x - 36 = 0 (x - 9) (x + 4) = 0 x = 9 and x = -4 This method is called factoring and only works if the equation is a perfect square otherwise you must use the quadratic equation. There are not enough mathematical symbols here to illustrate so you'll have to look it up. But you can determine if the equation is factorable using a part of the quadratic equation called the discriminate, if the discriminate is a perfect square the equation is factorable. b2 - 4ac (discriminate) Where a,b, and c are taken from the general form ax2 + bx + c = 0 a = 1, b = -5, c = -36 If the square root of the discriminate is a whole number 3, 8, 122... the equation is factorable. Notice above that 9 x -4 = -36 the c value and 9 + (- 4) = 5 the b value. Start solving by listing all multiples of -36 and choose the two which when added give you 5.
they start from $10-$30
The expression is: 5(b + x)
(a+10)2
(h-t)*6
The expression is: x² + 2
ba + x
6h-t
When you square a number, you multiply it by itself and the result is the square of that number. When you take the square root of a number, you start with an number and figure out what smaller number would produce your starting number if it were to be multiplied by itself.
(h-H)*5
The original number is 14.
42 is 16. 162 is 256
-- Take a heavy object and a stopwatch. -- Start the timer as you drop the object from the unknown height. -- Stop the timer when the object hits the ground. -- Read the time off the watch, in seconds. Square it. (Multiply it by itself.) -- Multiply that result by 16.1 . -- Now you have the distance the object fell, in feet.
Call this number "x". In this case:x = root(5 root(5 root(5 root(5... Since the expression inside the first root is equal to the entire expression, you get: x = root(5 x) Squaring both sides, to get rid of the rood, you get: x squared = 5x x squared - 5x = 0 x(x - 5) = 0 So, x is either equal to 0, or to 5. Indeed, if you start with any number and repeatedly multiply by 5 and then take the square root, you get closer and closer to 5... unless you start with zero, in which case you get exactly zero.
