We note that the area of a circle is as follows: A = pir2.

Taking the derivative with respect to time:

dA/dt = 2pi * dr/dt

As r = 42cm and dr/dt = 0.04cm/min,

dA/dt = 2*pi*42cm*(1/25)cm/min

=84pi/25 cm2/min

= approx 10.556 cm2/min

What are lip plates?

A lip plate is a circular disk inserted into a cut in the lip (usually a woman's and often in Africa). By increasing the size of the plate gradually the lip can become a rather large disk

The force that twists tears or pushes one part of the crust past another is?

Convection cells of magma, circular currents of heating and cooling which increases (cooling) or decreases (heating) density. The Circular motion pulls the plates (away )apart at one point which results with a counter motion of the plates "pushing" into other plates which pushes into another plate so on and so forth.

How do continents?

The Earth is made up of Tectonic Plates, these are large sections of land (Continental Plates) or ocean (Oceanic Plates). The Mantle (magma beneath the Earth's crust) is heated from the core of the Earth, where it is hottest, causing a convection current, this is when a fluid (magma in this case) is heated unevenly and the hot fluid rises, causing the cooler fluid to sink in its place (forming a circular current of heating, rising, cooling and sinking.)This current effectively drags the Tectonic Plates along in differenbt directions to each other, causing them to move apart or together, sometimes even alongside each other.

What is the behavior of the crustal plates in relation to the asthenosphere?

Crustal (or lithospheric) plates are pulled or pushed by the movement of heated rock in the asthenosphere.

Why does capacitance increase when the distance between the plates of a capacitor is increased?

you have it reversed. capacitance increases with decrease in distance of plates.

Do hot plates need to be plugged in?

Some hot plates are heated pureley by candle flame heat located underneath.Whilst I have seen flame heated I have also seen electric heated hot plated which can have to be plugged in whilst some re charge it depends on your make model and brand.
