Yes. Providing that if the 20lb. tank has a hose hook up that the hose will be long enough to reach the shorter 15lb. cylinder's valve. Also the 15lb. cylinder MUST be within 12 years of manufacture or if it's been recertified within the past 5 years AND have an OPD, (overfill prevention device) style valve. This is easily identified by a triangle shaped handle vs. the old round handles.
