If you mean like this: m² then you need to use the Insert Symbol menu and find the ² character when you are typing it in. If you mean you actually want to square a value, you can do it in two ways. You can use the ^ symbol or the POWER function. Both of these will have the effect of calculating 10² in Excel:

=10^2

=POWER(10,2)
