I guess it depends if you are using StarSan, IOStar, Bleach, or OneStep sanitizer.
StarSan: 1 ounce of Star San to 5 gallons of water will suffice. Let your home brewing equipment soak for 1 to 2 minutes of contact time then remove from sanitizing solution. There is no need to rinse.
IOSTAR: 1 ounce IO-STAR / 5 gallons water will sanitize your equipment after soaking/circulating for 10 minutes. Again, no need to rinse
Bleach: 2.5 ounces of bleach to 5 gallons of water for 10 minutes will sanitize your equipment. DON'T use with stainless steel or metals (plastic / glass only).
Note: Don't use bleach with stainless steel and be sure to rinse your equipment thoroughly.
