along with being a nurse, i use to be a certified pharmacy tech and we had to do these simple equations all of the time. Here's the math: 1000ml/1L = 0.16L/xml cross-multiply 1000ml with xml cross-multiply 1L with 0.16L your equation is now: 1000x/1000 = 0.16L/1000 divide 1000 into 1000x and 1000 into 0.16L: 1000x/1000 = 0.16L/1000 you are left with the unknown factor in ml whcih is x, or 1x x = 0.0016L hope this helps. i am unable to use the "underline" key in order to present this in an algebraic form.
