Sony NWZA728 has a 2.4" LCD screen measured diagonally
Televisions are generally measured diagonally from corner to corner. The measurement is only the size of the screen and doesn't account for any frame.
Diagonally
Most lcd televisions are widescreen now. I don't think I've seen one that wasn't recently. Both of the two I have are widescreen and they are different brands with different years.

The price of an LCD widescreen tv is based largely in part on the manufacturer and the size of the television. I found a 55" LCD widescreen tv for 1,199 at http://www.electronicexpress.com/catalog/17321/LG-55LD520?refer=6&cpc=6&utm_campaign=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle
Monitors are currently transitioning from CRT to LCD as a standard. Sizes include 15", 17", 19", and larger, in either the standard or widescreen format. These inch measurements are diagonal, from bottom left to upper right of the viewable area.
The cost of a lcd widescreen tv depends on the brand you want, the size of screen you want, and how clear you want the picture to be. You can find a 32inch for as little as $350, and a 60inch for as little as $1200.
no that is what i do, it works fine
There are many types of widescreen HDTVs and some are superior for different reasons. There are LED, LCD and Plasma and all are very superior HDTV brands.
