You can get the songs from anywhere, but they have to be AAC files, such as .m4a files. You can use iTunes to convert .mp3 and .wma files into .m4a so they will work. A word of warning, though: if you buy songs from the iTunes store only iTunes Plus songs (without DRM) will work on the DSi.
depends what format your songs are in. the w350i, which i currently own, can only play mp3, aac, m4a. anything else won't be recognised as an audio file

First, they must be in AAC format (the kind itunes uses) and they cant be protected (no .m4p's) so just get your Itunes songs that aren't protected (.m4a) and put them on your sd card.
