Bus Topology and Star Topology are methods of making a computer network.Bus Topology has a structure of a straight line,and uses no switch for connectivity of computer.Star topology can be given any shape and is not connected directly,but the computers are connected with each other by using a switch.
Star topology network is different than the Ring topology because computers are connected to a hub with a star topolgy. A hub is a specialized type of hardware that receives data transmissions and routes them to the proper destination. Star networks are easy to install and update because all nodes are connected directly to the hub. A ring topolgy, each node is connected to two other nodes creating a ring. A ring topology is more reliable than the bus and star because if one node fails, thenetwork administrator or specialized network hardware can route data around the failing node.Ring networks, however, are relatively expensive and somewhat difficult to install.
my point of veiw star is the small network topololgy and tree topology use in big network, two and more then two star topology make a tree topology, all most every where use this type topologly
