∙ 10y agoIf the volume is 120 cubic feet and the box is 3 feet tall then the area of the base is 40 square feet.
If the length of the base is L feet then its width is L/5 feet so that its area is L2/5 sq ft.
So L2/5 = 40 s= that L2 = 200 and so L = 14.142 feet.
Answer: Length = 14.142 feet and base = 40 sq ft.

∙ 10y agoThe formula to calculate the volume in cubic feet (ft^3) of a rectangular shape is: volume = length x width x height. Make sure all dimensions are in feet before multiplying them together. This formula applies to rectangular prisms, cubes, and other right-angled shapes.
The length, width and height.
The volume of a rectangular prism is equal to length x width x height. Therefore, you have to choose the width so that the product of the three numbers is equal to the volume, i.e., equal to 144.
To find the volume in cubic inches of a rectangular prism with dimensions 21 x 17, you would multiply the three dimensions (length, width, and height). Since a rectangular prism has three dimensions, you need a third dimension (height) to calculate the volume.
length, width, height
Multiply its length three times as for example length*length*length will give you the answer in cubic inches
That depends upon its length width and volume. It really has a volume, not an area because it is three demensional.
length, width and height (:
Length the width and depth
There is no three-dimensional volume (cubic feet) in a one-dimensional length (foot).
The volume of the rectangular prism is 400 cubic centimeters. You calculate it by multiplying the three dimensions: 8mm x 10cm x 5cm = 400 cubic centimeters.
Inches is a unit of length or distance; cubic feet is a measure of volume which is length * width * height. Is the question regarding cubic inches?
