when we decide to form a network such a shortest path have to establish for data transmitting, different type of topology we have to use.
for eg:-if i hav one server or hub or a switch(one centralize device)and 15 clients
to connect ,then there are various ways to connect them according to our need...
topologies are of type:
!)star-when we need all the terminal attched to one central decice
2)ring-whn we need all terminals connect to each other also
2)mesh-combination of ring and star
4)bus-when we dont need centrliez device, onle connect one terminal to another and so on
5)hybrid-combination of all topology

Is a mesh topology is more frequently used in a LAN than any other type of network?

A mesh topology is not more frequently used in a Local Area Network (LAN) compared to other topologies like star or bus. While mesh topology offers advantages such as redundancy and reliability, it can be complex and costly to implement due to the extensive cabling and configuration required. Star topology, for instance, is more commonly used in LANs because it is easier to set up and manage. Therefore, mesh topology is less prevalent in typical LAN configurations.
