Since there are two pints in a quart, and four quarts in a gallon, you would first divide fifteen by two (15/2), to see how many quarts you get. 15/2=7 1/2. Then divide seven and a half by four to see how many gallons you get. 7 1/2 divided by 4= 1.875 or a little less than two.
