Depends on what you're weighing. Put 1 tbsp of the ingredient on a kitchen scale (measuring ounces) divide 16 by the number of ounces you get. The number you get will be the number of tbsp's of that ingredient in a pound. (not sure why recipes use volume measurements for dry goods in the first place)
