You would actually need to know the density of whatever you are measuring because grams are mass and cups are volume. assuming you are measuring water, 75g would be the equivalent of 0.32 cups. but if you were measuring lead, 75g would be the equivalent of only 0.028 cups.

There is no direct conversion from grams to cups because they measure different things. Grams are a measure of mass (how much of something there is) while cups are a measure of volume (how much space something takes up). Materials of different densities will have different volumes for the same mass. Think about popcorn. The mass of the popcorn kernels before popping is nearly identical to the mass of the popped corn after popping (a very small amount of steam escapes during popping but small enough to ignore in this example) but, the popcorn takes up much more space after popping so it's volume is greater while it's mass has remained basically the same.
