if you really want to improve keep it basic, if u can bench 40 now? I'll presume this is 40kg and I'll presume again that that is your !rep max, find about 60% of that, you should be able to push that out around 12-15 times depending on your current strength power endurance profile. as i said keep it simply, there is a horrible horrible training method called German volume training, if you want to improve one thing, train it specifically, German volume training is a fancy way of saying 10 sets of 10, that means rep it out 10 times, rest then 9 more times... simple... right? don't blame me when you hurt after, but feel free to thank when your gains go up, eat right aswell, keep protein high but don't get silly with it, work out how much you need and keep it to a good level throughout the day, chicken tuna beef turkey and nuts are your Friend's, i hope you'll be happy together
