There is no inertia fuel pump safety switch in a 1997 Infinity qx4 3.3L 6 cylinder engine.
Your auto parts dealer can give you this information when you purchase your spark plugs. But a 1998 Infiniti QX4 gap is .041.
I had this same problem, had to replace the 4 little bushings on each side, total of 8. Cost about $30 each and $125 in labor.
Should be same as QX4 99, 15/city, 19-20 /highway (assuming engine in tip top condition)

Oil filter in an Infinity QX4 1997 is found underneath the engine. The plastic cover that hides the whole engine from below should be removed and there the filter can be seen.
The 1997 Infiniti QX4 was produced in limited numbers, with approximately 30,000 units manufactured during its production run from 1996 to 2001. Specific figures for the 1997 model year alone are not widely documented, but the QX4 was known for its luxury features and off-road capabilities, contributing to its popularity in the late 1990s.
A 1997 Infiniti QX4 may shut off while driving due to several potential issues, including a failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or ignition system problems, such as a faulty ignition coil or spark plugs. Electrical issues, such as a weak battery or bad alternator, can also cause the engine to stall. Additionally, problems with the vehicle's sensors, like the crankshaft or camshaft position sensors, may lead to unexpected shutdowns. It's best to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional mechanic to identify the exact cause.
