Expert establishments such as GERRIC with the University of NSW accept students with an IQ over 125 into their Gifted and Talented programs. According to the NSW Department of Education's G&T policy a gifted student is :
"Gifted students are those whose potential is distinctly above average in one or more of the following domains of human ability: intellectual, creative, social and physical. Talented students are those whosareas of human performance. "
