Math is related to science because science uses many formulas to figure out things. An example of a formula is D=RT where D is distance, R is rate and T is time. If you have two of these variables you can easily figure out the third one by using basic algebra to figure it out. Although alot of formulas are more complicated, math is used to figure things out in the world of science (espicially when you are dealing with physics)

Is it true that if I as an individual am excellent with math I will fail science and engineering?

Left brained people are usually good at math and sciences. So if you are good at math you should do well with science and engineering. The key here though is that you study. Just because it's easier for you to understand the concepts in math and science doesn't mean you don't have to do the work necessary to achieve good grades.
