∙ 14y agoI do feel bad about answering this one, it is quite simple. Find the volume, multiply it by the atom density, then divide by avogadro's number, and finally, multiple by the molecular weight of boron.
Assuming this wafer is cylindrical.
Find the volume
Volume = pi*D^2/4*thickness
3.14*(30cm)^2/4*.07cm= 49.48 cm^3
Multiply it by the atom density
Volume*rho.atom
49.48 cm^3*1 X 10^16 atoms/cm^3= 4.948 X 10^17 atoms boron
Then divide by Avogadro's number
Atom/N.a= mol
4.948 X 10^17 atoms/(6.022 141 79(30) × 1023 atoms/mol)= 8.217 X 10^-7 mol
Finally, multiple by the molecular weight of boron.
MW.B = 10.811 g/mol
8.217 X 10^-7 mol*10.811 g/mol= 8.883 X 10^-6 grams = 8.883 micrograms

∙ 14y agoThicker pipe wall is required to contain higher fluid pressures. For the same fluid pressure, a thicker pipe wall is required for a larger diameter pipe than that required for a pipe of smaller diameter. A schedule of pipe sizes and wall thicknesses has been established by ASTM standards governing manufacturing of pipe. A previous description of pipe wall thicknesses as "Standard", "Extra Strong" and "Double Extra Strong" has been supplanted by a schedule of 10, 20, 30, 40 60, 80, 100, 120 and 160. Schedule 40 pipe generally compares with the previous use of "Standard". For metal pipe, Schedule 80 pipe has a thicker wall and can withstand greater pressures than a Sch 40 pipe. A point of confusion is that for PVC piping, Schedule 80 pipe has a thinner wall than Sch 40 pipe.

No, one millimeter does not contain the same volume as 10 microliters. One millimeter is a unit of length, while 10 microliters is a unit of volume. The two units measure different quantities and cannot be directly compared.
An aluminum can typically has a thickness of around 0.09 to 0.1 millimeters. This thickness provides the can with the strength and durability needed to contain carbonated beverages.
The amount of hair in 100 grams can vary depending on the thickness and length of the hair. On average, 100 grams of hair can contain anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 individual strands.
By suitable choice of its height, the diameter can be any value you like.
An average car blanket thickness is no more than that of an average T-Shirt. It is used to have a better sitting comfort and to reduce fading of the car seats. Electric car blankets are thicker, as they contain electronics to heat the blankets, allowing a more comfortable driving experience.

These are typically called Bok globules. They are dense, cold clouds of gas and dust where new stars are born. Due to their small size and high density, they are often considered as potential sites for the formation of star clusters or individual stars.
