How do apples relate to Halloween?

In pagan cultures the holiday of Sublime was a harvest festival, a holiday in which the end of the year is near, the trees have begun shedding leaves and nature is ready to die for the winter, apples are a fruit of the harvest and considered a treat. Also, people like to apple dive during the fall to, and still do it when it gets close to Halloween.

Apple and vampire have nothing to do with each other. Since on the first cover of the Twilight book is an apple, everybody thinks they have something to do with each other. The truth is they have nothing to do with each other. Edward just gave Bella a whiplash with an apple. That's it.
