Alexandrian mathematics was a blend of Greek, Babylonian, and Egyptian mathematics, along with theories from countless other mathematicians throughout the Middle East and Asia, particularly from Arabia, India, China, and Rome. Many of the advances in geometry and mathematics were used in what eventually became known as physics. The founders of modern science during the scientific revolution of the 17th century, Nicolaus Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Galileo Galilei, and Isaac newton, proved many of their theories by using the Euclidian geometry of Alexandria.
